About Me
Hello! My name is Eleanor and I'm a mechanical engineer working at Ample in San Francisco. Ever since I was little and worked in my grandpa’s machine shop, I knew that I wanted to become a mechanical engineer. My first time following the engineering design process was on my high school’s FRC team, and it further solidified my desire to pursue engineering. I joined the Baja SAE team as soon as I got to Johns Hopkins University and it gave me extensive design and analysis experience and hands on manufacturing skills that I then used at my internships at Textron and SpaceX.
Not only do I have the skills necessary to perform advanced mechanical design and analysis, but I also have a deep understanding of what it takes to follow a design through to testing and iteration, where the largest improvements are made. I am looking for a collaborative, multidisciplinary work environment where I can take full ownership of a component or subsystem and can continue to grow as an engineer.
